Zacchaeus gathered taxes from both the young and old
He really wasn’t liked at all. That’s what I was told
They hated him for he was rich from tax collector’s greed
Poorer now than ever, they could not meet their needs.
Zach never knew what to expect when climbing on that limb
Yet he knew he had to go when Jesus called to him
Half the treasure that he owned to the poor he gave away
A poor lost sheep was found again on that blessed day
Time hasn’t changed at all. It’s pretty much the same
At some moment Jesus will be calling on your name
Make the choice to heed His voice, when He comes your way

Quand Jésus a pris son ministère à Jéricho
Une foule bruyante s'était rassemblée dans la rue de la ville en contrebas
Et comme il atteignait la porte de la ville il y avait un spectacle à voir
Le petit Zachée était assis dans un arbre
Zachée! Zachée! Dans un sycomore
Jésus lui fit signe et l'appela: "descends et dîne avec moi.
Oh descendre et de dîner avec moi.»
Zachée a recueilli les impôts des jeunes et des vieux
Il n'était vraiment pas aimé du tout. C'est ce que m'a dit
Ils le haïssaient car il était riche de la cupidité du percepteur
Plus pauvres que jamais, ils ne pouvaient pas répondre à leurs besoins.
Zach ne savait jamais à quoi s'attendre en grimpant sur ce membre
Pourtant il savait qu'il devait partir quand Jésus l'a appelé
Il a donné la moitié du Trésor qu'il possédait aux pauvres
Un pauvre mouton perdu a été retrouvé en ce jour béni

À un moment donné Jésus appellera sur votre nom
Faites le choix d'écouter sa voix, quand il vient à votre rencontre
