As it began to dawn toward Sunday morning, and while it was yet dark, came
Mary Magdalene early unto the sepulcher where they had lain Jesus.
And when she was come unto the garden, she seeth the stone taken away from

What have they done? Removed Him? What have they done?

Then she runneth, and cometh to Peter, and to John

Cone and see! They have taken our Lord away!
Where He is, I know not! For the sepulcher’s empty…

And when they came to the sepulcher, they went in, and seeth the linen
Clothes lie, and the napkin that was about his head, wrapped together in a Place by itself. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
CHOIR (Oooing Underneath)
NARRATION (Woman)
But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping;
And as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, and seeth
Two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain.

And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?

Tell me where thou has laid him, And I’ll take him away.

Quand ils arrivèrent au sépulcre, ils entrèrent, et virent le linge
Les vêtements se trouvent, et la serviette qui était sur sa tête, enveloppé ensemble dans un endroit par lui-même. Alors les disciples s'en allèrent de nouveau dans leur propre maison.

La NARRATION (Femme)
Mais Marie se tint dehors au sépulcre en pleurant;
Et comme elle pleurait, elle se pencha et regarda dans le sépulcre, et vit
Deux anges en blanc assis où le corps de Jésus avait couché.

Dites-moi, monsieur, si c'est vous qui l'avez bourré,
Dis-moi où tu l'a mis, Et je vais l'emmener à l'écart.

Jésus lui dit: Marie.
MARIE-MADELEINE
Maître.
La NARRATION (l'Homme)
Il lui dit: Ne me touche pas, car je ne suis pas encore monté vers mon père:
Mais va trouver mes frères, et dis-leur: je monte vers mon Père, et vers Mon Dieu et votre Dieu.
