Angels in the sky came down from on high,
hovered o’er the manger where the babe was lying
cradled in the arms of his mother Mary,
sleeping now at Bethlehem
«Where is this new King, shepherd boy piping merrily,
is he there at Bethlehem?»
I will find him soon by the star shining brightly

En passant par les collines sur une nuit toute étoilée
sur le chemin de Bethléem,
au loin j'ai entendu un berger siffler
sur le chemin de Bethléem.
Les anges dans le ciel ont apporté ce message près:
"Dansez et chantez pour la joie que Christ Le Roi nouveau-né
est venu pour nous apporter la paix sur Terre,
et il est couché bercé là à Bethléem.»
